They provide primary, sexual, and reproductive care to people from all communities; from the teenage years through menopause and beyond. Stony Brook Midwives offer preconception care and counseling, comprehensive prenatal care, full midwifery care during labor and birth, trial of labor after cesarian delivery, complete postpartum care, and lactation support (including a weekly breastfeeding support group).
