Some of the programs are available to children from kindergarten through the 12th grade. CYO of Long Island was first established in 1958 and the organization has grown immensely since then. The programs now serve over 25,000 children a year across Long Island. CYO recently started a new initiative called “CYO Steadfast” that brings athletics to the children that need it. The program also provides educational and nutritional support for the children. Although the CYO was established through the Diocese of Rockville Centre, the organization offers inclusive services to all children regardless of culture and faith.
